Today's photos are of a couple of plants in our garden - the leaf is a zucchini plant. I did try to get a bee that was buzzing around the agapanthus but the camera wasn't co-operating with me - I really need to learn more about the settings or I need a better macro lens.
This year I have altered my note book and Daily Work Pad for school - just because I can :) I put a quote on each one - the not book says "I'm just a Raggedy Ann in a Barbie Doll world" (so me) and the Daily Work Pad says "Children need love especially when they don't deserve it" - I was going to put on there "To teach is to touch a life forever" as I love that quote too but decided to go with something different.
Well it was back to school for me today and we have started off with two days of PD on Kagan co-operative learning. It was very interesting and now the challenge is to apply what we have learnt in the classroom. I have the problem during the week that my camera is too big and bulky to lug around (I have dug out my very old point and shoot but can't find the battery charger for the batteries *sigh*) so didn't have it with me at the PD but I have taken a photo of the text book and work binder that we were given - yep just a little light reading as normal.

We have a cheeky little robin red breast that visits our yard and I tried to get a photo of him today but he is just too quick for the camera - I'm sure he knows just when I've got the camera out - so I took some photos of baby frogs that reside near our pond along with a flower or two.
DH has planted some corn - it's only been in the ground about two weeks and the plants are already four times the size they were! Just gotta love fresh corn on the cob with heaps of butter - Yummo!
DH grew some potatoes in his vege patch and we dug them up today - some nice big ones in the bunch.
I actually took this photo today - 24th January but DS went out camping Friday and didn't come back till today so he got worn out yesterday while camping - that's my story anyway.
I went out to take a photo of DH watering today - I wasn't very happy with the way the photos turned out, this is the best of them. (Just gotta love the rustic fence)
DH had called Rusty to come outside with him while he was watering and you can see in these photos just how enthusiastic he was about that.
Today in the forum at Chook Scraps, Steph asked us about the music we liked to listen to when we were younger - of course after thinking about this for a bit I had to go and find my old albums (now these are not old CDs or tapes, they are old vinyl records). I actually have more records than those in the photo but the older ones are kiddy ones with stories and nursery rhymes (I even have a set made by Readers Digest with Peter and the Wolf on it - I loved listening to that as a kid). I think my first album with "big peoples" music on it would have to be the Rolf Harris album. The first one I bought with my own money was The Best of the Mixtures - I bought it at the local shops in Freecorns - does anybody remember the Freecorns chain of supermarkets? Now that brings back memories and so do these old albums. (Please excuse the dodgy mat in the background)
I didn't take any photos today so I tried to take an arty photo - I love the photos Karen Walrond shares on her blog - just fab! Well mine is very poor in comparison - definitely need to learn more about lighting and camera settings. Anyway out of the few (hundred) that I took this is the one I like the best.
